- Active Classroom Engagement: Regularly visits schools to speak with students, attends local events, and supports district-wide activities to emphasize the value of education and teach the next generation how to engage with their government.
- Celebrating Local Excellence: Honors outstanding students, educators, and athletes by presenting citations at school committee meetings, attending local events, and hosting them at the State House to formally recognize their achievements.
State Representative Thurber is a fierce advocate for families and quality education across the 5th Bristol District. He has filed legislation aimed at delivering meaningful tax relief for parents and protecting the essential role of families in their children's education.
